RE: [SAJUG] Domain Transfers
If you have a Godaddy account, then you can get a Sideways transfer done.
This will save you money on transfer fees J
This is also instant!
The holder of the domain should do the following:
In your domain account select the domains you want to transfer. Then click
account change in the domain menu.

RE: [SAJUG] Domain Transfers
They can update the ns on their side - you set up your own go daddy account
and do a domain name transfer - however do the transfer first if you are
going to move the domain - they can lock the domain once an update on the ns
change has happened
Thanks,
Kevin Banks

RE: [SAJUG] Domain Transfers
Hi there
If they are .co.za domains then go to [link] (yes it's correct) and you will find a
Update Form Generator which you can use. Note that the current hosts need to know that the transfer
will happen.
If they are .com or other then it can be a little more tricky and you need to do it via whoever

We have a client who wants his Joomla sites hosted with us. The thing
is, we have to do a domain transfer of all his sites to our servers.
I need to know the exact steps that need to be taken in order to

Re: [SAJUG] article defending Joomla
Hi Arthur
I think you have written a good article.
I agree with Pat about slagging off other products. Always remain
diplomatic, as these products are just as good as Joomla!.
Let us know when you have published this.

Re: [SAJUG] article defending Joomla
Hi Arthur
I know zilch about Wordpress or Drupal but having started learning Joomla a
few months back, I am hooked. The community support is great and the array
of extensions is amazing. Nothing seems to be impossible if you take the
time to look for an answer. I am in the fortunate position of not having to

article defending Joomla
Hi all
I've been invited to write an article in defence of Joomla versus Drupal /
Wordpress. I've played very briefly with Drupal and even less with WP so I
won't be writing a comparison, except where my research (or feedback from
you) would be important to compare. I already have it in my mind that WP is
